JUDICIAL REFORM AS A FACTOR IN RESTORING CONFIDENCE OF UKRAINIAN SOCIETY TO THE GOVERNMENT
Abstract
Problem setting. In the context of European integration and strengthening of statehood, Ukraine urgently requires effective justice system that should be resistant to external factors, fair and legitimate. Its main task is the protection of rights and freedoms of a human and a citizen. Today, citizens have lost confidence in the legality and fairness of the decisions adopted by judges. Therefore, to return this trust, the judicial system requires fundamental changes, both from legal perspective and in the minds of the judicial system officials and civil society.
