FOREST CERTIFICATION AS A TOOL FOR ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT AND INNOVATION-INVESTMENT DEVELOPMENT OF THE SYSTEM OF FOREST COMPLEX OF UKRAINE

Abstract

The article deals with the issues of forest certification as a direction of development for the formation of an effective innovation system of the forestry complex of Ukraine. The development of environmental management was entrusted in 1992 with the development of the BS 7750 (Specification for Environmental Management Systems) Standard prepared by the British Standards Institute and requested by the British Confederation of Industry. Environmental management should take into account the contradiction between the growing needs of people and the limited capacity of the biosphere of natural resources and determine the rational relationship between levels of consumption, development, production and environmental factors, that is, to make a dialectical character.
