PROBLEMS OF USING AND RECYCLING OF PLASTIC WASTE IN UKRAINE

Problem setting. An important place among the urgent environmental problems of modern society is the disposal and utilization of waste, whose quantity is constantly increasing under the influence of a large number of factors. Currently, in Ukraine, to solve this problem, the technology of disposal of waste at landfills, which contain solid household waste, which is harmful to the environment, is used predominantly.
Target of research. A general study of the problems of the use and recycling of certain types of waste.
Analysis of resent researches and publications. The theoretical basis for conducting the research was the work of scientists in the field of economic sciences, ecology and law Fedorova Y.I., Chuprina M.O., Romanov M.V., Ilchenko V.M., Makhitko V. S. and others studied the issue of processing and utilization of waste. The problem of the impact of solid waste products on the environment is often investigated by scientists, among them: Khomenko I.O., Babachenko L.V., Padyi Y.V.
Article’s main body. The article deals with the issue of handling solid household waste. The problem of limiting the use of such a type of solid waste as a plastic waste, in order to maintain the proper state of the environment is investigated. Particular attention is paid to the need for legislative regulation of the processing of solid household products and the establishment of proper infrastructure for the disposal of solid waste.
Conclusions and prospects for the development. There is an urgent need for legislative regulation and limitation of the use of plastic products, the establishment of certain sanctions for violation of the order of recycling and the use of polymer waste.
