WAYS OF IMPLEMENTING THE STRATEGY "EUROPEAN CHOICE" OF THE FEDERATION OF UKRAINIAN TRADE UNIONS IN THE YEARS 2016-2021

Abstract

Problem setting. Labour law is formed taking into account the legislation on trade unions. The idea that was once expressed by Russian scientists that it is necessary to allocate a trade Union in a separate industry – "trade Union law" could not stand itself and was not scientifically justified, because workers, i.e. subjects of labor relations, are carriers of trade Union rights, that is, are members of trade unions. These are the same persons and labour rights coincide with trade Union rights. And, in our opinion, it is impossible to separate labor law from trade unions.

Analysis of recent researches. The activities of trade unions and legislative regulation of their activities is their work dedicated to such domestic and foreign scientists, as Denischik A. Y., Lushnikov, A. M., Sytnichenko O. M., Solomiychuk V. V., Sopelkin I. S. etc.

Article’s main body. The new strategy "European Choice" of the federation of Ukrainian trade unions in the years 2016-2021 is orientated by trade unions to use the norms of the union of Europe. If these norms are positive and can improve the social status of workers, they certainly need to be borrowed. But not all norms should be copied. The article significantly analyzes the provisions of the current legislation of Ukraine, regulating the activities of trade unions, in particular, the positive and negative aspects, the ways and directions of its improvement.

 The author investigates the foreign experience of regulating the activities of trade unions, in particular, in the article we are talking about the countries of Western Europe, and highlighted the positive experience that is proposed for borrowing.

Conclusions and prospects for the development. One of the main issues that must be addressed by the state and trade unions is ensuring security in the workplace. FPU has committed itself to uncompromisingly fight for the preservation of life and health of every working person.

It is urgent to review the legislation on social insurance, taking into account the sharp rise in prices for medical care, medicines, food and for education and the like. We introduce visa-free entry to other countries instead of reducing the cost of vouchers to children's camps and increasing wages. It is necessary to review the legislation on accidents that occur on the way to and from work. These cases should be considered work-related injuries with all the consequences and social benefits.
